It's been a loooooong time since I've posted, and of course, a lot has changed! Nils finally started walking at around 15/16 months. He got 4 teeth at the end of October, then nothing until April, when 6 teeth all started coming at once! He's got quite a mouthful now!! He is starting to talk, although he's taking after mommy and not saying too much too soon. He has about 10-15 words and 5-6 signs. He sure understands everything we say though!! He has 2 "chores" which he loves doing - feeding Jake dinner every night, and he helps mommy unload the bottom rack of the dishwasher when it's clean. He is still an excellent eater and sleeper and really has been such a good baby. And the biggest news.....he's going to have a BABY SISTER at the end of October!!!!!!

So much changes in so little time. Nils is almost 9 months old now. I don't know how much he weighs but he's grown a lot! He's so heavy! He gets up on his hands and knees and rocks, but still not crawling. Still no teeth either!! He loves all the food I've ever offered him, is still breastfeeding, and sleeping at least 12 hours every night. Naps have gotten much better and he will take a 2 hour afternoon nap without a fuss now. He can sign "potty" and although he's not completely potty trained, it will only be a matter of time before his body catches up to his mind. Ok - here are the pictures!

Well, I'm 6 months old. I'm almost 14 lbs and 27.5 inches long. I can sit, roll over, eat solids, and drink from a sippy cup. I like to arch my back and push with my feet to get somewhere. I wear comfy cloth diapers and I go on the potty almost everyday. I can understand words like "more", "hungry" and "drink" and am working on signing those words so I can communicate what I want with Mommy. I also know which dog to look at when their name is said. I'm sleeping 12 hours straight at night (your welcome Mommy) and am pretty good about taking a long morning nap. I don't have any teeth yet but Mommy hopes I get some soon to hold all the drool in.
I've had 2 month birthdays since Mommy last updated!!
I've started eating solids! Avacado was my first food and I loved it!!

Yams are one of my favorites! (But I haven't found something I don't like yet!!)
Prunes are my other favorite! And boy are they messy!!
My fingers are so tasty during meal time!
I'm also learning to drink from my sippy cup!
Grandma is here for the summer. I have a lot of fun with her when Mommy is at work!
My FAVORITE thing to do is sit on the edge of the deck and watch the puppies play!!!

Grandma Danver came all the way from California to meet me!

6 pounds 9 ounces, 20 inches long
Our Birth Story
At around 11:00am Wednesday morning, my water broke while I was at work. I got to my doctors office around 12:30 where they told me I was 1cm dialated. Contractions were starting but not painful. By 4:30pm contractions were more intense and 5 minutes apart, the doctor told us to come to the hospital to be checked. Within the next hour contractions suddenly came much faster, and the urge to push was so intense that our little boy was almost born in the car ride to the hospital! Upon arrival at the hospital at 6:00pm, the doctor found I was fully dialated and baby Nils was about to arrive. They rushed us into the nearest room where 4 contractions, and 17 minutes later baby Nils Alan was delivered into the world! No time for pain medication of any sort for Mommy!

12/13/08 - We had a follow up ultrasound at 32 weeks. He's getting big at about 5 lbs already! They switched over to 3D view to give us some face shots! The fluid in there causes some distortion, plus he's pretty squished in there so it was hard to get a full face shot, but these are what we got! Pretty neat!
10/19/08 - Nothing is really new with the baby, except he's growing like crazy!! And so is my belly!! He's doing great and kicking hard :)
